For Type 65, BluePrint Engines recommends upgrading to a midshift kit equipped transmission to avoid cutting a transmission tunnel cross bar. Ask your sales rep for details.

For MKIV applications, BluePrint Engines recommends the standard shifter location, as midshift location in those vehicles interferes with a transmission tunnel cross bar.

Type 65 engine will come with low profile air cleaner for additional hood clearance pictured below:
